Beware! I contracted Colfina in 2020 and was told that their average for completing a tax return is 2 hours. To my surprise I then got a bill for 5.5 hours of work and when I challenged it I was told that this was due to the fact it was “my first year with Colfina”. The previous 4 years (2016-2019) I had worked with another accountant that never took more than 1.5 hours for similar tax returns! Obviously I decided to take my business elsewhere in 2021 and now they have realized that I won’t be their customer anymore. So now, they all of a sudden decided to send a bogus bill for 0.5 hours of extra work for the same tax return they prepared 2 years ago!! (A small modification on 1 line if I remember correctly). The new bill seems more retaliatory than anything. Honestly , find yourself a professional accountant that might have a higher hourly rate but will certainly be cheaper to hire in the long run.

This company did my taxes for a couple of years, then I decided to do my taxes on my own. Then when I reviewed my taxes I found out that they did 2 mistakes in at least two years that resulted in reporting more than 7k in income. I called them but they refused to compensate. Very unprofessional company, don’t deal with them.

I have been using the service for many years but I'm really disappointed after my initial contact left the company. The quality of the service dropped significantly. There have been huge mistakes in the past 2 years for which I had to investigate and correct them with Colfina. And despite the time and effort from my side to correct mistakes from Colfina, they throw a huge bill at me a few month ago for the time I spent to correct their mistakes!!! And their mistakes costed me to pay additional interest on taxes!!! Unbelievable !!! When I compliant about the bill, Colfina denied all their mistakes and sent another bill with administration cost added!!! what a nightmare !!! Please avoid, avoid and avoid!!!

Avoid them at all costs. Even for simple single earner tax calculations without property mortgage or any other income, year by year they increase the number of hours used for computation from 3 to 6 and send you an invoice of CHF 900+

Unpleasant feelings after using service of this company. Their support is rather responsive, but provided help is not meeting the expectation. Consultation over the phone is very poor up to the point, that they leave you with a feeling that you know more about taxes than they do. They also send unexpected invoices (after their job is already paid) for some follow ups. Beware.
